A flood control project is set to begin on Charleston Boulevard in May 2025 to install new storm drains. The project will run from Maryland Parkway to Commerce Street and is expected to last two years. While the work is ongoing businesses along Charleston and in the 18b Las Vegas Arts District will remain open for business.
The project will also feature new sewer and water infrastructure, pavement and pedestrian updates. The southern, eastbound, lanes on Charleston will be the most impacted, and motorists can expect lane restrictions as east and westbound traffic will move into the northern lanes of Charleston. Those looking to reach businesses on the south side of Charleston may want to consider driving from the south up Main or Commerce streets, Las Vegas Boulevard or Maryland Parkway.
More information on this project will be made available as the project moves through the bid process, contract award and notice to proceed with construction.
