A nearly 30-year-old California company is making a sizable investment in Dallas-Fort Worth.
The online health and wellness retailer, iHerb, has taken more than 200,000 square feet for a fulfillment center in Denton, according to a statement. The move will speed up deliveries for customers in Texas along with the central U.S. and Mexico.
“With DFW’s central location, strong infrastructure, and global airport hubs, this new facility allows us to serve our customers faster —sometimes with next-day delivery — while supporting iHerb’s mission of making health and wellness accessible to all,” Zach Thomann, chief operating officer for iHerb, said in the statement.
The North Texas area is drawing more investments from companies that want to tap into the growing population and infrastructure for distributing products for customers. The new site for iHerb is equipped with robotics, warehouse automation and AI-driven fulfillment software. It is expected to process over 20,000 orders a day at full capacity.

The 232,000-square-foot facility is at 221 Western Blvd. and is leased and operated by Lotte Global Logistics. The new operations brought on about40 people, according to the company in an email. It anticipates that number will rise in the coming months, particularly in preparation for Black Friday.
The company ships over 50,000 products, including vitamins, along with beauty, baby, grocery and specialty health items. They are sent directly to customers in over 180 countries. All products are stored in fulfillment centers that maintain a consistent 74- to 75-degree indoor temperature to protect the products.
Including the Denton facility, iHerb has about 2.3 million square feet of distribution space in the U.S., according to the company.
