NEW YORK (WABC) — After nine consecutive days below freezing, temperatures finally rose above 32 degrees on Monday, ending the longest cold stretch since 2018.
Highs near the mid-30s offer brief relief and a little melting, but there’s no major thaw ahead.
Scattered flurries or light snow may move in Tuesday night into early Wednesday, with a few slick spots possible.
Another Arctic front arrives late Friday, bringing snow showers, strong winds, and dangerously cold temperatures.
Chief Meteorologist Lee Goldberg says we have an AccuWeather Alert this weekend, with highs stuck in the teens and biting wind chills creating dangerous outdoor conditions.
