DENVER (KKTV) – The Utah Mammoth will host the Colorado Avalanche in the 2027 Winter Classic at the University of Utah’s Rice-Eccles Stadium, NHL said.
ESPN said this would be the 47th NHL regular-season outdoor game.
The Winter Classic is an annual event where hockey teams are chosen to play outdoors, typically in a chosen football or baseball stadium across the United States.
According to ESPN, teams participating in the Winter Classic are known to wear throwback attire.
The Aves are currently 31-4-7, having the best record in the NHL.
The last time the Aves played in the Stadium Series was on February 13, 2020, at the Air Force Falcons’ stadium against the Los Angeles Kings.
