T-Mobile US inked MVNO deals with cable companies Charter Communications and Comcast to supply nationwide 5G connectivity to their respective enterprise customers, with services set to go live during 2026.
Charter Communications will offer the T-Mobile-backed service through its Spectrum Mobile for Business brand and its peer on Comcast Business Mobile.
In a statement, the trio explained the agreements are focused “solely on providing wholesale mobile connectivity to Charter’s and Comcast’s business customers”, with the cable players’ existing MVNO partnerships for the consumer segment and “current business customers” to continue.
Both companies offer services using Verizon’s network and earlier this year added limited direct-to-device satellite connectivity following a partnership with Skylo Technologies.
T-Mobile EVP and chief product and digital officer Omar Tazi said Charter Communications and Comcast would benefit from access to its “advanced network”, while the operator “gains incremental value from the unique business segment that our partners serve today with broadband”.
The companies noted the cable players would “continue to develop wireless business solutions” using Wi-Fi, “proprietary 5G cellular networks leveraging CBRS spectrum and now multiple MVNO cellular networks”.
Financial terms of the latest deals were not disclosed.
