PHOENIX — A four-story hotel with a rooftop restaurant and bar is now under construction in southeast Mesa, with an expected opening date in early 2027.
Developers broke ground Wednesday on Cambria Hotel, which features 107 rooms and EV charging stations and will be located at Ellsworth and Elliot roads.
The lodging project is part of the city’s efforts to reshape its southeast corridor, according to a press release.
“As travel league sports, a growing business community and other regional draws continue to grow, so does demand for elevated hospitality options,” Vice Mayor Scott Somers said. “I’m thrilled to welcome Cambria to District 6 and am confident they will meet the needs of today’s visitors.”
In addition to the rooftop amenities, the building will offer guests laundry facilities, meeting rooms, an outdoor pool, a fitness center and a grab-and-go convenience market.
Canyon Builders is the project’s contractor, and O’Reilly Hospitality Management LLC will oversee day-to-day operations.
LivAway Suites, an extended-stay hotel, is also coming to Mesa soon. It is located near Greenfield and Baseline roads and is scheduled to open in fall 2026.
