STILLWATER – Anastasiya Komar and Gracie Epps of the Oklahoma State women’s tennis team fell in the opening round of the singles draw at the NCAA Individual Championships on Tuesday in Waco, Texas.
Epps was the first to compete, falling to Auburn’s Merna Refaat, 6-1, 6-4, before No. 11 Komar was beat by No. 2 Dasha Vidmanova from Georgia, 6-3, 6-2.
The tournament wraps up a fall schedule for the Cowgirls in which they reached three finals and captured two titles in five tournaments. They’ll now look ahead to the spring dual season, coming off a year in which they went 29-1 and won the ITA Indoor National Championship along with Big 12 regular season and tournament titles.
