CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – One of Iowa State’s top scorers over the last two years has earned a professional contract with the NBA’s Denver Nuggets.
ESPN first reported Jones has earned a two-way contract with Denver, which means he is under contract for both the Denver Nuggets and their G-League affiliate, the Grand Rapids Gold.
Jones averaged 14.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game in the NBA Summer League, shooting 46.7 percent from three-point range in five games.
Jones went undrafted; he averaged 17.4 points per game in his senior season with the Cyclones. Before his time with Iowa State, he played at the University at Buffalo and Indian Hills Community College.
