The Denver Nuggets will play their first preseason game at Pechanga Arena in San Diego on October 4, 2025.
SAN DIEGO — Basketball fans, get ready! The NBA is coming to San Diego, with the Denver Nuggets scheduled to play their first preseason game at Pechanga Arena.
The game will be held on October 4 against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The entire Nuggets roster will be attending.
Tatiana Archuleta, director of advertising and promotions for the Denver Nuggets, said the organization wanted to bring the game to San Diego to expand excitement around the team and the league in general.
“Just come see the excitement,” Archuleta said. “I think we’re a fun team to watch, and it’ll be a really good matchup with the Timberwolves.”
Rocky, the iconic mountain lion mascot, will also be at the October game.
“This isn’t our home arena, so we’re just bringing the energy. Hopefully, we have a lot of fans come out, but we’re making sure that Rocky turns all those NBA fans into Nuggets fans,” Archuleta said.
Tickets for the game will go on sale on Friday, August 8, on AXS.com and the Nuggets website.
