An Evo Entertainment venue is coming to the Village at Gateway in Forney, the latest milestone for the massive mixed-use development east of Dallas.
Evo Entertainment, a subsidiary of Austin-based Elevate Entertainment Group LLC, confirmed in an April 22 email to the Dallas Business Journal that it is “working closely with the City of Forney” to bring one of its destinations with a cinema, bowling and games to the Village at Gateway. If approved by the Forney City Council, Evo Entertainment would become the last major piece of the puzzle for the 152-acre development that already counts Target, H-E-B and Home Depot as incoming anchor tenants.
The first phase of Village at Gateway, expected to open in summer 2026, will feature 500,000 square feet of premium retail. A second phase will deliver an additional 200,000 square feet of retail. The development will also include 650 multifamily units.
Next to the project, Texas Health Resources plans to build a 242,000-square-foot hospital and a four-story professional office building on 50 acres immediately west of the development.
