EXCLUSIVE: Netflix’s proposed $82 billion purchase of Warner Bros crown jewels may be all the town is talking about today. However, over at Sacker Entertainment Law, it’s more a case of getting the band back together.
The WB band.
Almost four years after ex-WB Senior Theatrical Counsel and Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP partner Neil Sacker set up his own shingle with former Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP associate Andy Tan, their SEL has now added Kirk Stambler to the crew.

Stambler, who served as WB’s Vice President, Special Projects, Business and Acquisitions for years, will join Sacker Entertainment Law and run the firm’s newly created corporate entertainment deals practice, I’ve learned. To that, Sacker will be opening a NYC office that Stambler will oversee.
“Traditional law firms expect clients to adapt their businesses to fit within their structured systems,” Sacker asserted Friday. “We do the opposite.”
We customize our business to the specific needs and goals of each client” Sacker stated “Every engagement is tailored to the client’s business – from how we structure and design our legal services and fees to how we consult and advise them to execute their business plans and grow their businesses. We approach legal representation as a partnership, not as a traditional service provider.
“The launch of our corporate entertainment practice allows us to extend that same customized, cost effect business model to an even broader range of clients who have larger entertainment transactions – and we’re excited to have Kirk lead that charge.”
“It is great to be working with Neil, whom I have known and respected for many years,” Stambler told Deadline on this day when WB is all over the news even more than a Minecraft or Sinners premiere.
“After overlapping briefly at Paul Weiss, we got to know each other at Warner Bros. and have remained friends and colleagues ever since,” the veteran attorney added. “I am committed to helping Neil take the firm to the next level and accelerate its growth by expanding the scope of services and expertise it can offer.”
As well as his legal endeavors Stambler has a hand in production too. Specifically, he is working on a Jimi Hendrix documentary Are You Experienced with WildBear Entertainment and AJ Eaton, as well as still untitled Alice Waters documentary.
Since its formation in early 2022, SEL has grown from the duo of Sacker and Tan to seven attorneys and now eight with Stanbler, with more to come on both coasts
