C.J. Conrad spent four years playing tight end for the Kentucky Wildcats, something he did very well. Then, he coached them, and once again did it well. Now, he has parlayed that into a move to the NFL, where he will join the coaching staff of the Miami Dolphins.
Per Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports, Conrad has been hired by the Dolphins as an offensive assistant. New head coach Jeff Hafley has now hired three different assistant coaches who gained experience coaching at Kentucky.
As a Wildcats player, Conrad recorded 80 receptions for over 1,000 yards and 12 touchdowns. He was also a terrific blocker who was a fan favorite. After his playing career ended, he began his coaching career as a grad assistant and tight ends coach. He also coached at Easter Kentucky and Kent State.
Now he heads to the NFL, joining Bush Hamdan and Zach Yenser with the Dolphins. Conrad seems to be rising in coaching circles, and Big Blue Nation is sure to wish him the best in Miami.
