DENVER – Georgetown University’s men’s lacrosse team is in the Mile High City to compete in the 2025 BIG EAST Championship, presented by JEEP. The top-seeded Hoyas face fourth seed Marquette in the semifinals on Thursday, May 1 at 6 p.m. ET.

- The Hoyas (9-4) are ranked No. 13 in both the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Coaches Poll and the KANE Inside Lacrosse Media Poll.
- Georgetown is coming off a 17-9 victory over then-No. 19 Villanova to clinch a share of the BIG EAST Regular Season crown and the top-seed at the tournament this weekend in Denver.
- Jack Ransom paced the Hoyas with nine goals, setting a Georgetown freshman record and tying the NCAA lead for most goals in a game this season. His nine goals were one shy of the program record, two off the NCAA record and were the most ever scored in a BIG EAST regular season conference game.
- Defensively, the Hoyas were credited with a season-high 19 caused turnovers with Seamus Foley leading the way with four and Ty Banks adding three. Four other GU players had a pair in the game.

- On the season, Aidan Carroll leads the Hoyas with 53 points (33G, 20A) while Fulton Bayman adds 45 (22G, 23A), Ransom chimes in with 27 (26G, 1A) and Kevin Miller has 24 (15G, 9A. Joe Cesare adds 18 (14G, 4A), Kade Goldberg has 16 (5G, 11A), Jordan Wray has 15 (8G, 7A) and Patrick Crogan adds 10 (6G, 4A).
- Defensively, Robert Plath has been credited with 26 caused turnovers on the season while Banks has 21 and Foley has 19. Banks is now eighth all-time in career caused turnovers with 45 in less than two seasons on the Hilltop.
- Ross Prince has won 93-of-152 (.611) faceoffs on the season to pace the Blue & Gray and has 34 ground balls.
- In goal, Moore has played all but 22:43 on the year and boasts a 9.02 GAA with a .534 save percentage and 132 saves.
Scouting Marquette
- The Golden Eagles are back in the BIG EAST Championship for the first time since 2022 following an 18-11 victory over Denver in the regular season finale.
- Nola Rappis leads Marquette (7-6) with 46 points (31G, 15A) while Bobby O’Grady adds 45 (29G, 16A). Carsen Brandt has 34 points (22G, 12A), Will Foster adds 33 (14G, 19A) and Matt Caputo chips in 30 (20G, 10A).
- Adam Slager is the top faceoff specialist for the Golden Eagles, winning 111-of-199 (.558) on the year to go with 53 ground balls.
- Defensively, Ryan Kilcoyne has been credited with 10 caused turnovers on the year while Mike Piraino has 8.
- In goal, Lucas Lawas has started all 13 games for Marquette, posting a 12.05 GAA to go with a .492 save percentage and 146 saves.
Series History
- Georgetown and Marquette have played 15 times before with the Hoyas owning a 10-5 series lead.
- The Blue & Gray have won the last seven meetings, including a 10-9 double overtime win at Marquette this season.
- Eight of the 15 meetings have been decided by just one goal, including four overtime games all played in Milwaukee.
- The last Golden Eagles win was a 9-8 victory in the Nation’s Capital in 2019.
