PHOENIX (AZFamily) — If you’re a Sun Devil going to the Big 12 Championship Game this Saturday in Texas, you won’t be alone!
According to the ASU Alumni Association, Texas is home to the highest number of Arizona State University graduates behind Arizona and California. With chapters all across the country, the Dallas/Fort Worth alumni group is planning several events in honor of the game.
Reid Hendrix is the chapter president and tells Arizona’s Family he’s gotten about 200 emails from fans hoping to get tickets. He’s lived in Texas for years and has seen interest in the watch parties grow.
“So we took over an Arkansas watch bar,” he said. “By the end of the season we had the large space, the big screen.”
If you’re heading to Arlington this weekend, there are a number of events for alumni, including a welcome party on Friday night and a tailgate on Saturday morning. Hendrix says they are co-hosting with the Sun Angel Collective.
