Today, in Milwaukee, United States Congresswoman Veronica Escobar of El Paso, Texas mobilized Latino voters in Milwaukee on behalf of the Harris-Walz campaign. During the visit, Congresswoman Escobar stopped by 97.9 Caliente Radio for an in depth conversation with host Joey Sanchez on Vice President Harris’ recent trip to Arizona and border policy, visited a Latina-owned business, and met with local Latino community stakeholders to discuss the threat Donald Trump poses to immigration, small businesses, economic opportunity, and other issues that matter to Latino voters – in stark contrast to Vice President Harris, who is fighting for a new way forward to cut costs for families and create good-paying jobs.
“The Latino community has incredible power and can decide this election and I want to make sure that Latinos in Milwaukee and Wisconsin know that we value their vote…,” said Congressman Veronica Escobar. “This is a critical election and the difference between the two candidates could not be more different. Vice President Harris wants to create an opportunity economy and wants to lift up communities, families, and individuals. She cares about voters, she cares about the state of Wisconsin. Donald Trump cares about himself and has made it a priority to help the wealthiest Americans and the wealthiest of corporations and that leaves people out.”
