SAN ANTONIO, Texas (WOAI/KABB) — Two people are dead after a shooting caused a car accident on the West Side in San Antonio.
The deadly incident happened just before 11:30 p.m. Tuesday along West Martin Street near Northwest 24th Street.
Police said a man and woman were driving when someone in another vehicle pulled up and started shooting at them.
Both the man and woman were hit by gunfire, causing them to drive off the road into a ditch.
Police said a homeless man and woman were sitting on the steps on the embankment when the car hit them, pinning and crushing the man under the vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The other woman suffered minor injuries.
The woman inside the vehicle was also found dead.
Investigators added the victim’s vehicle had numerous bullet holes on both sides of it.
The man inside the vehicle was taken by a personal vehicle to a nearby urgent care faculty. He was listed in critical condition.
Investigators are searching trying to identify the suspects.
