The Greater Houston Partnership, alongside Renewable Energy Alliance Houston (REAL) and CenterPoint, represented the Houston delegation at the RE+ Conference in Las Vegas, the largest clean energy event in North America which drew over 40,000 global energy leaders and innovators. The Houston team put a spotlight on the region’s unmatched strengths and growing role in shaping the future of energy.
Delegates engaged with companies and thought leaders shaping the next wave of energy innovation. They underscored Houston’s unparalleled strengths—home to 4,200 industry firms, 21 Fortune 500 energy headquarters, a highly collaborative ecosystem and a dynamic network of startup incubators that help companies grow from idea to scale.
“Being part of the Houston delegation at RE+ was both energizing and eye-opening. It was incredible to connect with so many innovators who are rising to the challenge of meeting growing energy demand. The future of energy, including clean energy, is being shaped in our region, and it was fantastic to see firsthand how much excitement there is around the work being done here,” said Kay McCall, Chair of the Board of Directors for the Renewable Energy Alliance Houston.
The Partnership brought Houston’s voice to a national platform through media. Jane Stricker, Senior Vice President of Energy Transition, joined Nico Johnson, host of SunCast
Media, for a live podcast interview. She discussed the progress of the Houston Energy Transition Initiative (HETI) and highlighted how Houston’s leadership continues to resonate on the world stage.

From clean energy startups to global leaders, Houston is the Energy Capital of the World. With groundbreaking projects, a fully integrated energy ecosystem, and unparalleled industry expertise, Houston is leading the charge toward a “More Energy, Less Emissions” future.
Recent success stories from Houston-based companies present at RE+ underscore the strength and momentum of the region’s energy ecosystem – from TMEIC, which is building three manufacturing sites and has relocated its U.S. HQ to Houston, to Total Hydrogen Solutions, and SEG Solar, both expanding operations in the region. Bergstrom, working with Fluence to scale domestic HVAC systems for energy storage, further highlights how Houston firms are anchoring the clean energy supply chain and drawing value chain partners to the region.
