Summer in the city is no joke this year. Boston is blanketed in a heat advisory and real-feel temperatures are over 100°F. Mayor Michelle Wu announced a heat emergency on Monday, July 15, and it doesn’t show any signs of letting up.
Temperatures will reach into the high 90s on Wednesday, July 18. According to the National Weather Service, dangerous heat and humidity continue with heat indices of 95-105°F. We may see some relief Thursday, but that still means temperatures in the high 80s.
With the oppressive heat seemingly inescapable when we set foot away from our air-conditioned homes and offices, it’s just gross outside. But sitting home is boring, and Time Out is about getting out and having fun, so we found the best places to cool off and have a good time in the Hub.
