The Atlanta Dream have won back-to-back games after a tight loss to the Indiana Fever last week. Can they continue their winning ways on the road against the Los Angeles Sparks?
The Sparks are off to a 2-3 start to the 2025 WNBA while sporting a new-look roster. Veteran Kelsey Plum joined the team in the offseason and has provided a big scoring punch. The 30-year-old is averaging 24.8 points per game – second in the league behind only the Minnesota Lynx‘s Napheesa Collier (29.8) – while also leading the team in assists (5.6) and steals (2.4).
Los Angeles doesn’t yet have its full roster at its disposal. Second-year pro Cameron Brink, who averaged 2.3 blocked shots in 15 games as a rookie, is still recovering from a torn ACL she suffered last season. She is expected to return in June, but until then, the Sparks will rely heavily on Dearica Hamby and Azura Stevens to carry their frontcourt.
Those two will have their hands full dealing with the Dream’s talented frontcourt duo of Brittney Griner and Brionna Jones. They have combined to average 28.6 points, 19.4 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game this season. They are part of a strong starting unit that also features do-it-all guards Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard along with rookie 3-point sharpshooter Te-Hina Paopao.
