Punk addresses Seth Rollins’ comments about a potential MMA fight between them.
In a two-year timeframe, CM Punk had two MMA fights under the UFC banner. His record is 0-1 as his first loss to Mickey Gall took place in 2016 and his 2018 UFC 225 loss to Mike Jackson was overturned due to a positive marijuana test from Jackson on fight day.
Seth Rollins made a media appearance and commented on the idea of fighting Punk in MMA and Punk responded to that while on The Ringer Wrestling Show. He thinks it’s fantastic that people can look at his time in MMA and underestimate him.
I really appreciate my time in MMA and I really appreciate that everyone can look at that and underestimate me. I think it’s the most fantastic thing in the world… I’m gonna punch this motherf*cker (Seth Rollins) in the face on Saturday so I don’t know. He’s talking about wanting to do an MMA fight. Alright, I’ll see you Saturday, kid… Welcome to hell.
Punk, Rollins and Roman Reigns headlined night one of WrestleMania 41 in a Triple Threat match. A review of night one can be found here on the POST Wrestling site.
