LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The African Diaspora of Las Vegas is set to host its 3rd Annual Africa Day Community Breakfast & Business Marketplace on May 16 at the College of Southern Nevada’s Charleston Campus.
The event will celebrate the global Annual Africa Day and mark the launch of the African Business Community Online Directory.
This initiative, developed by the African Diaspora of Las Vegas, aims to enhance the visibility and accessibility of Diaspora businesses in the Las Vegas community, providing them with essential resources to support growth and sustainability.
“We don’t believe there is another organization like ours in the US that represents such a wide scope of the African diaspora,” said Denis Mamattah, President of the African Diaspora of Las Vegas and a native of Ghana. “I have been here in Nevada for over 30 years and have seen many changes. There continues to be a lot of excitement about African history, heritage, and cultures. We are here to serve and support it, our businesses and the greater diaspora.”
The Community Breakfast & Business Marketplace will feature speakers, panel discussions, business and vendor booths, and networking opportunities for entrepreneurs.
Attendees will have the chance to learn about funding opportunities and access tools designed to help their businesses thrive.
