La Plaza Delaware is hosting the first Latina Women in Business Summit on Saturday, June 14, in an event designed to connect and inspire Latina entrepreneurs and leaders across the state. It will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Avenue United Methodist Church, 20 N. Church Street, Milford.
The Latina Business Summit will bring together more than 150 women for a day of networking, learning and celebration. Panels and sessions will focus on empowering women in business, featuring discussions on leadership, identity, growth and culture.
Attendees will hear from business owners and Latina leaders, including:
• Guillermina González, head of the Doctor of Business Administration program at the College of Business, Wilmington University;
• Margie López Waite, founder and CEO of Aspira Academy; and
• Virginia Esteban, editor, Hoy en Delaware.
Delaware Secretary of State Charuni Patibanda-Sanchez will stop by during lunch to offer encouragement and support to attendees.
The summit, which will include a fashion show and music by a Latina artist, is part of La Plaza Delaware’s commitment to support and invest in Latina entrepreneurs through its ¡DALE! program and other community initiatives.
