Indra Arriaga Delgado’s short film “Sabor Ártico: Latinos en Alaska” is a love letter to the state and the Latino residents who live here. Her team did over 40 interviews speaking with residents from a diverse mix of Latin American countries discussing topics like food, family and traditions. The film shows how immigrants have not only adapted to a lifestyle in the North, but how they have continued traditions and influence the community. The film is part of Latino Public Broadcasting’s “VOCES Shorts” series and will be available to stream on March 4.
Arriaga Delgado joins us to talk about making the film, evolving Latino culture and adapting to Alaska.
