Brandon Carlo officially bid farewell to Boston four months after the Bruins traded him to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
“Boston will always be a part of me. I feel so lucky to have worn that jersey, to have called this city home, and to have started my family here,” Carlo captioned the carousel of photos, which included several stills during his time with the Bruins. “The memories on the ice were special — but it’s the people, the teammates, the friendships that truly changed my life. I’ll forever be grateful for every moment, every lesson, and every bond built along the way. Thank you, Boston… for everything. Excited for what’s next!”

Carlo was one of several key players the Bruins traded at the March deadline including Charlie Coyle — who was traded again earlier this month — and Brad Marchand — who signed a six-year deal to remain with the Florida Panthers after winning the Stanley Cup.
The Bruins selected Carlo with the 37th overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. From there he became a staple on Boston’s defense for close to a decade. While he’s dealt with concussions throughout his career, Carlo played in at least 60 games in eight of his nine NHL seasons.
Carlo has two years remaining on his contract before he hits free agency.
