Loop Technology (Dorchester, Bristol and Sheffield, U.K.) is opening a North American location, Loop Technology US Inc. Headquartered in Seattle, Washington, the business will be strategically positioned to provide the U.S. market with access to the entire range of Loop Technology products and services.
Loop Technology Ltd. was founded in 1998 and, over 27 years, has built up expert capabilities in machine vision, motion control and industrial robotics, alongside a reputation for quality, integrity and professionalism.
“We have been considering expansion into the United States for several years and now it feels the time is right,” says Alun Reece, CEO of Loop Technology US Inc. “I love the American approach to technological development alongside the desire to succeed. I am really looking forward to strengthening existing relationships and building new ones.”
Loops’ new presence in the North West will facilitate greater access to the company’s automated FiberLine technology that delivers ultra-high rate composite preforming and a novel approach to manufacturing composite structures. While originally designed for building composite aerospace parts, FibreLine is applicable in several industries including for the manufacture of drones and wind turbines.
U.S.-based customers will also have easier access to a range of laser cleaning systems and services, including LoopClean for automated laser cleaning; Loop is already supporting its partner, Adapt Laser, in Missouri. Other offerings include machining and labeling systems like Loop Technology’s RoboMach — accurate robotic machining system that automates milling, trimming, cutting and drilling operations for aerospace, automotive, architectural and construction — and IdentifEye, the company’s dynamic automated 3D vision labeling system, respectively.
