MILWAUKEE – Marquette University student-athletes demonstrate success in the classroom and continue to perform at a high level, a trend that is documented in the latest Academic Progress Rate (APR) report, which was released by the NCAA Tuesday afternoon.
The NCAA national office has issued the NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rate (APR) for the 2021-22, 2022 -23, 2023-24 and 2024-25 academic years. Each academic year, every Division I sports team across the country calculates its APR using a simple and consistent formula. Each term, scholarship student-athletes can earn one point for remaining eligible and one point for staying in school or graduating. For schools that do not offer scholarships, recruited student-athletes are tracked.
Nine Golden Eagles programs scored a perfect 1,000 in the categories of Academic Progress Rate (APR) and Eligibility/Graduation. The nine Marquette programs that scored 1,000 include both men’s and women’s cross country, men’s golf, men’s soccer, men’s and women’s tennis, women’s basketball, women’s track and field and women’s volleyball.
The Academic Performance Program has established an essential framework for academic excellence. The program provides measurable goals to ensure schools fulfill their commitment to equip student-athletes with the tools and resources necessary to achieve academic success.
