The McKinley Park News is very proud to be the founding organization and ongoing supporter for Chicago’s Birthday Party, which brings together celebrants at the city’s geographic center to sing Happy Birthday to Chicago in multiple languages on the anniversary of the Chicago’s founding on March 4, 1837.
Now set for its 3rd annual presentation of performances, spectacle, celebration and birthday cake for all, Chicago’s Birthday Party welcomes everyone to join us from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at South Honore and West 37th streets in Chicago’s McKinley Park neighborhood to fete the 189th anniversary of our city’s founding.
