Loudonville, N.Y. – The Stevens Institute of Technology golf team took 8th place at the RPI Collegiate Invitational, finishing the event with a two-day total of 619 (+51).
Stevens shot 310 on Sunday and 309 on Monday, finishing just seven shots back of a top-six finish. Swarthmore won the event with a two-day +21 (589), five shots clear of NYU. Bishop finished in third at +30 (598), six shots ahead of Farmingdale State. The host Engineers, who were tied with Swarthmore after Day One on Sunday, stumbled on Monday, finishing 19 shots back in 5th.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Arav Tank was the Ducks’ low score for the second straight day, knocking one shot off his 75 (+4) Sunday with a 74 (+3) Monday, including birdies on the par-four 2nd and par-five 13th.
Ben Slicker birdied three holes on the back nine, finishing his day with a 7-over 78 and a two-day score of +17.. Brock Dickson matched Slicker with a 78 – besting his round Sunday by seven shots –, including a birdie at the par-three 16th on Monday.
Sebastian Beaver parred his first four and five his first six holes during an eight-over round of 79 and a two-day total of 156 (+14). Jack Harris birdied the par-four 8th while carding 83 (+12) for a two-day total of 160 (+18)

Luke Snyder, Udyat Sarangdevot, Dillon Kim, Noah Eide, and Alex Carey will represent the Ducks at the Alvernia Fall Invitational tomorrow.
