MOLINE, Ill. — Mercado on Fifth is gearing up for its ninth season!
The popular market celebrating Hispanic culture and community is returning to downtown Moline next Friday, May 23. It takes place every Friday from 5 to 10 p.m. through Sept. 26. You can find dozens of vendors and live music along 5th Avenue “at the gateway to Moline’s historic Floreciente neighborhood,” organizers said.
Most attendees must pay a cover fee of $5. Those 13 and under or 65 and above get in for free.
This year’s lineup includes 45 vendors along with regional musical acts, dance performances, Mexican wrestling, Mexican Independence Day celebrations and more. Mercado on Fifth is a go-to for authentic Latin cuisine and features numerous retail vendors.
Live entertainment is also a staple of Mercado on Fifth, with musical guests each week. Here’s a list of performers for this season:
