The Florida State Seminoles are 3-0 to start the season and have already knocked off one top 10 team in the Alabama Crimson Tide. They will have a chance to do it again on Oct. 4 when they host the Miami Hurricanes in Doak Campbell Stadium.
While FSU has a game against the Virginia Cavaliers before then, Miami (4-0) is entering its bye week after beating the Florida Gators on Saturday. The Hurricanes have a new starting quarterback in Carson Beck, and he was asked about the looming game following the win. It is safe to say he is excited to play the Seminoles in Doak Campbell Stadium.
“Excited for that matchup,” he said. “I’ve never played in that stadium. I think that’s a cool thing about being in the ACC now, and playing a lot of different teams that I’ve never played before, playing at places I’ve never played before. Really looking forward to that, really excited.”
While FSU is yet to play an in-state school, Miami has already beaten three of them. They beat Bethune-Cookman, USF, and Florida in consecutive weeks, and Beck has enjoyed playing so many in-state programs.
“I think it’s really cool, we get USF, we get Florida, we get FSU. We get three Florida teams, it’s kind of a round-robin of Florida teams,” he said.
FSU will have to take care of business against Virginia Friday night in Charlottesville, but if they can, then it should be a top 10 matchup when Miami comes to Tallahassee in two weeks.
