‘The Notorious’ is just over a month away before blowing the roof off the venue at UFC 303 when he returns to action. On the road to his return, Conor McGregor was seen sparring with a partner, where he dominated him and even clocked him straight with that almighty left hand which is something he’s known for. However, the fans were not convinced that McGregor was doing enough to be able to beat ‘Iron’ Michael Chandler. This has been a recurring thing among the fans who’ve always believed that the Irishman isn’t sparring with people who’re on his level.
The fans claimed that the sparring partner was an amateur fighter because he seemed like he was making rookie mistakes. Some people also mentioned that coming straight at Conor McGregor was the wrong move from that fighter, because he fell right into the zone for ‘The Notorious’ to land his powerful left hand. But can the former double champion do that to Michael Chandler? Only time will tell.
Dana White shares an update on the boxing commission’s take on the Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul fight
Dana White recently appeared as the guest on ‘The Pete and Sebastian Show’, where he weighed in on Mike Tyson’s return against Jake Paul on July 20. The boxing match will have some modified rules, including eight two-minute rounds, where both fighters will wear 14-ounce gloves. Standard boxing matches often include three-minute rounds, and fighters wear 10-ounce gloves, and that’s where the UFC CEO chimed in.
Dana White claimed that even though Mike Tyson wants his fight to go down in the official books, the Texas Commission doesn’t see the boxing match like that. They want it to be an exhibition match. “I think Tyson wants it to be a real fight. I think the other side [Texas Boxing Commission] wants it to be an exhibition,” said Dana White. But is there an ounce of truth to it? We will have to wait and see what type of fight it ends up getting labeled as in the weeks to come.

Jon Jones is back to training after recuperating from his terrible shoulder injury last October and has shared some images from his gym sessions on social media as well. According to him, the fight will take place at Madison Square Garden in November – a piece of bad news for Tom Aspinall because he may not get to fight the undisputed champion this year. In addition to that, ‘Bones’ recently revealed to a fan what the agreed paycheck was for him to fight Stipe Miocic, and he claimed to be getting $15 million for it.

Hinting that he might retire after the Stipe Miocic fight, Jon Jones stated, “I’ve already agreed to make $15 million my next fight… hell yah bro, I’m about to beat up this old man. Ant right off into the sunset. Hope you enjoy watching Will.” This seems to be even more bad news for Tom Aspinall, who’s just itching to get a piece of Jon Jones. We’ll have to see if ‘Bones’s claims are real.
