Montgomery County Business Center, in collaboration with M&T Bank, is once again stepping up its game for local entrepreneurs, with a focus on the Spanish-speaking business community. Starting August 4, a second Business Accelerator Program aims to guide up to 30 eligible business owners through a seven-week deep dive into business development essentials at no cost. According to Montgomery County’s announcement, the program signifies a continued investment in the diverse tapestry of small businesses enriching the county.
“This Multicultural Business Accelerator reflects our commitment to making sure the Latino-owned businesses have access to the tools, knowledge, and capital they need to grow and succeed,” County Executive Marc Elrich stated, per Montgomery County. Elrich, alongside M&T Bank and the Business Center staff, has expressed a desire to foster an economy that supports all, especially those creating jobs and vitality in the community.
From navigating the labyrinth of County business resources to finessing a business plan and leveraging Artificial Intelligence for business expansion, the program’s curriculum is crafted to touch every corner of business acumen. “We will continue to strive to be a bridge for small business owners to connect them with local resources that will help them start, grow, and sustain successful businesses,” exclaimed Vickie Q. Mejia, Senior Vice President, Regional Manager at M&T Bank, detailing how vital strong community partnerships are to their foundation, per Montgomery County.
