Only three players in Major League Baseball history have homered in eight consecutive games, most recently Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr. in 1993.
Dale Long (1956) was the first to accomplish the feat and held the record for more than three decades until Don Mattingly (1987) and Griffey came along to equal his mark.
Since then, six players have homered in seven consecutive games, with Mike Trout (2022) the most recent to get within one homer of tying the record. Joey Votto, Kendrys Morales, Kevin Mench, Barry Bonds and Jim Thome are the other sluggers who went long seven games in a row.
