TEXARKANA, Texas — Sacred Heart Catholic Church will host My Hispanic Clinic for a diabetes education event on Sunday.
The event will be held in Spanish and will be free to attend for anyone. Attendees can learn about the different types of diabetes, continuous glucose monitor sensors, any complications that come with diabetes, and overall self-care. The clinic will also offer free A1C tests, blood pressure tests, body mass index measurements and more.
The first 30 participants will get a free, more in-depth diabetes exam that will take place in the clinic. All attendees will also receive a $25 discount on their first visit to the clinic.
The event is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, at Sacred Heart, 4505 Elizabeth St.
