No former Denver Broncos players remain in the running for the 2026 Pro Football Hall of Fame class.
The Hall of Fame has narrowed down the list of modern-era candidates to 26 semifinalists, and defensive lineman Simeon Rice (who played seven games with the Broncos in the final season of his NFL career in 2007) did not make the cut. Rice was the last remaining Denver player in consideration for the 2026 class.
Now all seven of the Broncos’ senior candidates and all 12 of the team’s modern-era candidates have been eliminated in the voting process.
Denver’s only remaining contenders for the 2026 class are coach semifinalists Mike Shanahan and the late Dan Reeves.
Broncos Hall of Fame candidates
- Coach Mike Shanahan
- Coach Dan Reeves
One coach finalist will be announced later this month, and Bill Belichick is considered the favorite to get the nod. So it’s looking like the Broncos will not have any former players or coaches reach Canton with the 2026 class.
