The City of Pasadena has launched a social media video series to highlight Latino-owned businesses, aiming to promote economic diversity and support local entrepreneurs.
The collaborative initiative, spearheaded by Public Information Officer Lisa Derderian and Director of Economic Development David Klug, features a variety of businesses from family-run restaurants to retail shops and has already reached a significant audience.
“By celebrating the city’s diverse community, we are helping to create a supportive environment that promotes growth and innovation,” said Derderian and Klug in a joint statement.
The video series showcases the unique stories of business owners, their contributions to the community, and the challenges they’ve overcome. Each video highlights a different Latino-owned business, providing viewers with insights into the diverse business landscape of Pasadena.
The campaign has proven highly effective, he Ciy reports, with the videos garnering over 250,000 views across the city’s social media platforms.
The City of Pasadena encourages residents and visitors to follow @CityOfPasadena on Instagram and Facebook, and @PasadenaGov on X (Twitter) for updates on this initiative and future programs supporting local businesses.
