Marshall Manning, the son of Tennessee football legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Peyton Manning, has enrolled at Baylor School in Chattanooga ahead of his eighth-grade year, a source with direct knowledge of the situation confirmed to The Tennessean.
As an eighth grader, Marshall Manning will be in the 2030 class. The source confirmed Manning will be a day student at the boarding school. Like his father, Marshall is a quarterback. The younger Manning played in Colorado in 2024.
Baylor is located about two hours from the UT campus in Knoxville, where former No. 1 NFL draft pick and two-time Super Bowl champion Peyton Manning finished his career as Tennessee football’s all-time leading passer. He threw for 11,201 yards and 89 touchdowns from 1994-97 and won 39 of his 45 games as a starter, breaking the SEC record for career wins.
Baylor has developed into a TSSAA football power. It has played for the Division II-AAA state title the past three seasons, winning the 2022 championship behind another notable football name: Whit Muschamp, Vanderbilt sophomore quarterback and the son of former Florida and South Carolina football coach Will Muschamp.
Marshall Manning is the cousin of Texas quarterback Arch Manning. Cooper Manning, Arch’s father, is Peyton’s older brother.
The Manning brothers — including Super Bowl-winner Eli Manning — are sons of former Ole Miss and NFL quarterback Archie Manning.
