PLYMOUTH, Ind. (WNDU) – A beloved Plymouth restaurant faces uncertainty after sale talks for the Red Rock Inn property where the business operates.
Owners of Mi Camino Real say in a social media post they met with Plymouth Mayor Robert Listenberger and were told the city will not assist them after learning the property may be sold to a gas station company.
The restaurant owners say the city is favoring outside corporate interests over a long-standing, locally and Latino-owned restaurant, which employs area residents.
According to the restaurant’s owners, their lease has not ended.
Mayor’s office response
The city of Plymouth said in a statement the property is privately owned and lease decisions rest solely with the landlord.
It also says officials have offered help looking for relocation or renovation options.
