RICHMOND HILL, Queens (WABC) — A 23-year-old woman was stabbed on the mezzanine level of the Jamaica-Van Wyck Station in Jamaica, Queens.
The victim was stabbed multiple times in the torso inside the station around 8:30 p.m. Sunday night.
She was taken to the nearby Jamaica Hospital in stable condition.
One person of interest is in custody and is being questioned.
It does not appear that person knew the victim.
The motive remains under investigation
Police do not know what led up to the stabbing or if the suspect knew the victim.
