Louisiana-based chicken finger chain Raising Cane’s is slated to open five new locations across the United States in July.
According to USA TODAY, Raising Cane’s is opening in four different states next month, including California, Nevada, Illinois and Florida:
- July 1 – 542 W. Riggin Ave., Visalia, California
- July 15 – 6440 S. Easter Ave., Las Vegas, Nevada
- July 15 – 311 A Veterans Parkway, Normal, Illinois
- July 15 – 8308 Merchants Way, Jacksonville, Florida
- July 22 – 12665 Poway Road, Poway, California
Raising Cane’s is embarking on a large expansion across the country and has plans for more restaurants in the works.
The chain, known for its chicken sandwiches and chicken finger combos, also has plans to open a location in Birmingham, Alalabama, next year. The new shop will open at 5301 U.S. 280 in the spring of 2026. Raising Cane’s also has locations in Mobile and Tuscaloosa.
In January, Food media brand Taste of Home said Raising Cane’s could be the next Chick-fil-A.
But Raising Cane’s chicken sandwiches aren’t the item giving Chick-fil-A a run for its money. Instead, the publication named Raising Cane’s chicken fingers as its standout item:
“Founded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1996, Raising Cane’s is a fast-food chain that does one thing the right way, and that one thing is chicken fingers. Unlike other fast-food chains that offer menus with something for everyone, Cane’s (as fans call it) serves nothing but chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast and coleslaw,“ writes Taste of Home. ”What Cane’s lacks in variety, it makes up for in quality. The kitchen’s only job is to make the best chicken fingers possible, which translates into a consistently excellent product.”
