You’ve got to look good to play good and that was certainly the case for the Boston Red Sox and their Fenway Green City Connect uniforms in 2025.
Following their stunning string of walk-off wins sporting the new jerseys (which debuted in May), the Red Sox have announced that the Fenway Greens made MLB history in 2025.
Boston went 6-5 wearing the attire this past season, but each of the half dozen victories were of the walk-off variety.
“It has sold the most of all City Connects to date, and it’s only been out since May,” Red Sox chief marketing and partnerships officer Troup Parkinson said, according to a report by the Boston Herald’s Mac Cerullo.
Boston frequently broke out the green uniforms for Friday night contests and per Cerullo’s report, they’ve been outselling other City Connect jerseys across the league that have “been on the market for as many as four years.”

That includes the original yellow City Connect uniforms, which will be coming back in 2026, according to Cerullo’s report.
“We love the yellows so much we put that into our kit. When you do something that seems to fit and make sense, you almost can’t imagine it not existing,” Parkinson said, per Cerullo. “You’ll see the same rollout of uniforms for us (next season). We’ve got the red alternate, you’ve got the home whites, you’ve got the grays, you’ve got the Boston-specific Patriots Day one-off jersey we wear, you have the yellows and you have the greens.”
The Red Sox open the 2026 season on March 26 on the road against the Cincinnati Reds and begin their home slate at Fenway Park on April 3 vs. the San Diego Padres.
