LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Rio Las Vegas has named a longtime hospitality executive as its new president and general manager.
The resort announced on Monday the appointment of Rod Turlan to the leadership role, saying he will oversee all aspects of operations.
“Rio is in an exciting new chapter, and I’m honored to lead the team during this period of significant growth,” Turlan said in a statement. “With the unwavering support of ownership and a strong foundation that includes newly remodeled suites, a refreshed casino floor, and top-tier entertainment, Rio delivers a fresh and compelling experience for today’s Las Vegas visitor.”
Turlan was most recently the senior vice president and general manager for Harrah’s and Tropicana Laughlin.
Before that, he held leadership roles with several properties under the former Eldorado Resorts, according to his LinkedIn page.
Patrick Miller had been serving as Rio’s president and CEO since 2024.
