Widely scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible through this evening. The best chance for rain will be near and over the mountains. Most of these storms will fall apart after midnight. The flash flooding threat is elevated in flood-prone areas of central and southern Utah due to the threat of heavy rainfall. This pattern will continue into Friday as well. By the weekend, northern Utah will begin to dry out, but the daily thunderstorms will continue in central and southern Utah. Temperatures will stay hot with highs around 100F in SLC and up to 110F in St. George.

- Friday: Partly cloudy skies with widely scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 90s.
- Friday night: An early shower possible. Partly cloudy overnight. Temperatures dropping into the mid 70s.
- Saturday: Partly cloudy skies and hot. A stray thunderstorm possible. Highs around 100.
- Sunday: Mostly sunny skies and hot. Highs around 100.
St. George and vicinity:
- Tonight: Partly cloudy skies. Lows around 80.
- Friday: Partly cloudy skies and very hot. An isolated thunderstorm possible. Highs between 106-108.
- Friday night: Partly cloudy and warm. Lows in the low-80s.
- Saturday: Partly cloudy skies and very hot. An isolated thunderstorm possible. Highs between 107-109.
- Sunday: Partly cloudy skies and very hot. A few thunderstorms are possible. Highs between 107-109.
