SAN ANTONIO – The Alamo city’s very own San Antonio Spurs are helping kids get ready for the upcoming school year in style!
From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, the San Antonio Spurs will host a Back to School Bash, providing school supplies, vaccines, vision checks, dental screenings, and information booths for students at Frost Bank Center.
Haircuts will also be available by appointment through the registration link.
“All of us at Frost are proud to be part of this event, and we look forward to doing our part to help make sure our community is prepared for the start of the school year,” said Clay Jones, Regional President at Frost. “We’re always happy to extend a helping hand to the Spurs with efforts like this.”
In the two years since the program began, the Spurs Sports and Entertainment Back-to-School bash has drawn in over 10,000 attendees, with last year’s event providing over 1,200 health screenings, 700 dental screenings and cleanings, and 11,000 students with school supplies.
“We believe in building leaders and legacies where we live, work, play, and learn,” said Dr. Kara Allen, Chief People, Impact, and Belonging Officer at SS&E. “Empowering teachers and families with essential resources is vital to student success in and beyond the classroom.”
Parents or guardians must be present with their children, and educators must present their school I.D. when entering. Items and services will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
