The San Antonio Police Department has released more information on the deadly shooting on the city’s Northeast Side from Saturday, November 8, including the alleged shooters identity
Officials responded to the call for a shooting at about 7:43 a.m. When SAPD arrived on-scene, they were told the alleged shooter, 21-year-old Jose Hernandez who was employed at the company, arrived at the location and began shooting at other employees.
Three people, a 48-year-old man, 38-year-old man and 24-year-old woman, were all pronounced dead at the scene. “Multiple of the other employees fled the scene in different directions to seek safety as shots were actively being fired,” the SAPD said. “Officers set up a quadrant and attempted to secure the scene.”
Officials later found Hernandez at the location with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The SAPD said the it remains unknown what led up to the shooting. “The Next of Kin of the suspect has not been notified at this time, therefore, the suspects name can not be released,” the SAPD said.
The SAPD noted that the information related to the shooting is “subject to change due to this being an active and ongoing investigation.”

San Antonio police are investigating a shooting that left three people dead at a landscape supply company on the city’s Northeast Side Saturday morning. Authorities say the incident was not random.
The shooting happened on November 8, 2025, at the 4400 block of Stahl Road.
San Antonio Police Chief William McManus confirmed that the victims, two men and one woman, were employees of the company during a press conference. He also noted that additional people may have been injured in the incident.
Authorities have not identified a motive but McManus says the shooting was not a random act. Investigators are still gathering information and searching for the suspect, who remains at large.
It is unknown if the suspect is armed, but police assume they may be.
McManus asked residents and commuters to avoid the area and use alternate routes while officers secure the scene.
Further updates are expected as the investigation continues and authorities work to piece together what happened at the landscape supply company.
