Senior Manager, Global Trade Compliance

🗓 Schedule: 9/80 (Every other Friday off)
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Manager of Global Trade Compliance to lead compliance operations for a major communications systems sector. This on-site role manages a team of eight and plays a critical part in ensuring adherence to U.S. export/import regulations while supporting international business growth.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor trade compliance teams; foster a collaborative culture
- Develop and enforce trade compliance policies and procedures
- Act as Empowered Official; interpret ITAR, EAR, and OFAC regulations
- Manage export authorizations and ensure timely licensing for key programs
- Partner with Business Development, Operations, and Engineering to integrate compliance into business strategies
- Support audits, investigations, and compliance reporting
- Domestic travel up to 20%
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years experience (or equivalent)
- 3+ years leading high-performing teams
- 5+ years with ITAR, EAR, and U.S. trade sanctions (OFAC)
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to obtain U.S. Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Skills
- Experience with OCR EASE or similar tools
- Military or Foreign Military Sales background
- Technical expertise and ability to interpret complex regulations
