Earlier this week in West Sacramento, a business burglary prompted a coordinated response that led to a quick arrest. The West Sacramento Police Department reported on a social media post that officers responded to a break-in at a business near the intersection of Sacramento Avenue and Bryte Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found that the suspect had forced entry and stolen several lottery tickets. What could have been a complicated case was resolved quickly through coordination between local law enforcement and the California State Lottery, which played a key role in locating the suspect.
The suspect was arrested and booked into Yolo County Jail. Authorities recovered the stolen lottery tickets along with a significant amount of cash, according to the West Sacramento Police.
