ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Two boys are being treated after being shot at a northwest Atlanta apartment complex Saturday afternoon.
The shooting took place at Fairburn Gordon Apartments located at 213 Fairburn Road NW just before 1 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found a 10-year-old and a 15-year-old suffering from gunshot wounds. They were both alert, conscious and breathing, according to police, and have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police say the shooting “was a result of a an escalating dispute regarding a relationship.” Investigators are responded to learn more about why the incident led to a shooting.
No word has been given on a possible suspect at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
