Staying local
Previously in the advertising and sales industry, the Currans said they decided to partner up and create a business surrounding their passion for cigars. At the time, their inventory was one-third the size they have now.
Having survived multiple disasters with the Cypress community including the COVID-19 pandemic, Winter Storm Uri and a derecho earlier this year, Justin said The Craft Cigar Company strives to support its community through various events.
The business supports and participates in several community events and other nonprofits such as the 3BQ Bridgeland BBQ Cook Off, Bridgeland Chili & Gumbo Cook Off, Olivia’s Helping Hands Foundation and Concerns of Police Survivors.
What they offer
The Craft Cigar Company offers premium cigars from 42 companies including Kristoff, Crowned Heads and Aladino Maduro, as well as cigar boxes, humidifiers and accessories.
With years of experience with cigars, Jason and Justin Curran said anyone searching for the ideal cigar can visit the shop and receive various recommendations based on the flavor, taste and aromas they prefer.
“From time to time we have some special edition, limited edition and limited release products available. We are currently working on developing new house blend cigars that will be available in the future,” Justin Curran said.
The cigar shop also offers two membership options for an annual fee of $200-$400. The membership includes access to their cigar lounge, exclusive events, WiFi, BYOB and member’s monthly specials.
With plans to expand with a second location in the west Houston area early next year, the Currans said customers can expect more additions to their cigar collection.
