Thursday was a nice respite from the cold that has plagued North Texas this week. Unfortunately, a new cold front will bring a return to much colder weather. The good news is that the cold won’t be as intense as earlier this week, and it will remain dry.
Friday morning will be “winter coat” weather again with lows in the 20s and wind chills down in the single digits and teens. It won’t get much better by afternoon with highs remaining in the 30s both Friday and Saturday. While it won’t be as cold as this recent spell, you’ll still want to take those cold weather precautions by protecting outdoor faucets and pipes (especially Friday night into Saturday morning).
While the weekend will be cold, next week looks much milder and wetter with showers possible for several days.
